Epidemics spread: Saudi announces travel restrictions to 25 countries including India

Riyadh: Due to the spread of infectious diseases in Saudi Arabia, the authorities have restricted the travel of all citizens and foreigners coming to Saudi Arabia. Restrictions have been imposed on 25 countries including India. The Public Health Authority has issued an order related to travel restrictions. Travel only for essentials. If there is a need to travel further, it is advised to try to avoid that travel as much as possible.

Zimbabwe is in the red category. Countries in yellow category are Nepal, South Sudan, El Salvador, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Uganda, Honduras, Thailand, India, Mozambique, Syria, Philippines, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Guatemala, Chad, Kenya, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Zimbabwe has been placed in the red category due to outbreaks of malaria, Japanese encephalitis, leishmaniasis, Zika fever, cholera and dengue fever. Nipah Virus, Monkey Fever, Measles, Dengue Fever, Dwarf Fever, Cholera, Yellow Fever, are included in the yellow category. The authority also explained that polio, malaria and covid are being regularly monitored in other countries

Those traveling to countries released by the Saudi authorities should continue traveling only if necessary. Avoid unnecessary trips. Travel only after taking proper precautions. Avoid close contact with infected people. Kissing and hugging a sick person should be avoided. Do not use any items that have been used by an infected person. Do not share food containers with each other. Wash hands with soap and water. Do not engage in mixed activities. Length of stay should be reduced. Preventive measures for infectious diseases should be followed. The authorities should follow the instructions given in this regard.
