The portrayal of human gestures, facial expressions and facial expressions is not easy and does not have to be a problem of the Mass Effect: Andromeda format, where the characters, at best, originally looked like inflatable virgins. In this respect, after all, very little is enough to completely spoil the impression and, on the contrary, it will take a lot of work to improve it. But Epic now offers a tool with which character creation should no longer be a science, and the results look very good.

Mass Effect: Andromeda
As the following image captured from the demonstration video shows, it is of course also a question of quality graphics. Today, it can be said that if the graphic designers struggle with something in the case of the models themselves, then it is above all a realistic rendering of the hair so that the characters do not look like they have a sackcloth wig. Epic MetaHuman Creator, on the one hand, creates characters with very nicely rendered hair or beards and overall with high-quality graphics, but otherwise it is mainly about facial expressions. But the video will show better.

MetaHuman Creator is, of course, designed for corporate Unreal Engine versions 4 and 5, uses a certain cloud library and is able to work with source data from the Maya 3D modeling application.
Everyone can Try MetaHuman Creator. All you have to do is have an account for Epic Games and download the appropriate launcher and then the Unreal Engine 4 (12 GB) and then MetaHuman Creator (4.7 GB).-
Then we can play, and the character modeling in this example is similar to creating our game character at the beginning of a modern game, only at a slightly higher level and with many more tools. But the real thing will happen only when the face moves and shows all the possible small and above all natural movements of the eyes, eyelids, mouth and all sorts of muscles, which brighten it up and wake it to life.
The final integration into the engine was promised for this year, but when we see something like this in the games, it is probably too early to talk about it.
