Moving Out is backed by game developers from the Swedish studio Devm Games and the Australian studio SMG Studio. The publisher is Team 17. In the past, Epic has distributed a number of free games from this publisher. These were, for example, The Escapists, Overcooked 2, Yooka-Laylee, Automachef, Yoku’s Island Express or Neon Abyss.
Moving Out was released in 2020 and is a simulator in which you can test the work of a member of the moving team. In the role of a mover, you must get furniture and appliances from the apartment to the moving car within the time limit. But you will not have it so easy again, because on the way to the moving car, various obstacles and pitfalls await you, which you have to overcome. You can only carry some heavy objects in two people, and other objects are fragile, so you have to be careful not to break them. The game is designed for one to four players and you will enjoy it the most in playing with friends. In the campaign, you will solve a huge number of tasks in various environments, such as a zoo, farm, haunted house, and you will even look at a space station.
The Moving Out game earned a metacritic from professional reviewers metascore 79 and a subsequent overall rating of 7.4 from the players.
