Four years ago, Fortnite disappeared from iOS devices due to a conflict between Epic Games and Apple. This started a long legal battle to restore it. In the meantime, Epic tried to open its app store to users of devices with the popular apple logo. However, without much success. Only the introduction of the Digital Services Act (DMA) forced Apple to make its platform available to other companies.
Today, Epic Games officially announced that the Epic Games Store has landed on mobile devices. This applies to both iOS and Android phones. Unfortunately, only residents of the European Union will have access to the store on the former.

According to the information provided on official website American giant, the Epic Games Store will not be able to be installed directly from Google Play or the App Store. To use it, it is necessary to download it from an external site. Additionally, during the installation of the store, several settings must be changed because systems may detect it as dangerous software. The American giant itself admits that this is not an ideal solution. Therefore, the company is still working on providing an easier way to install it.
For now, the Epic Games Store installation process on iOS and Android is lengthy because Apple and Google intentionally implement poor-quality installation experiences with multiple steps, confusing device settings, and intimidating notifications. We continue to fight in courts and with regulators around the world to eliminate the anti-competitive terms that Apple and Google impose on developers and consumers, so we can build a better store for everyone.

It would seem that the company would prepare a whole set of games for the premiere that could tempt users to install the store. However, for now, only three productions are available:
- Fortnite
- Rocket League Sideswipe
- Fall Guys
This may change soon. Epic is currently in talks with developers about adding their games to the store. However, this is not easy, as Apple has imposed fees on developers who offer their apps outside of the App Store. Additionally, as reported by The Vergenot all productions can be easily transferred to iOS.
