There are many, from versions of the New 500 with the iconic Gucci stripes to the Peugeot 205 Lacoste which was so successful that it was re-proposed on the market for years in a row. We knew them, yet we had never heard of this motorcycle that boasts some of the most popular “stripes” in the fashion world…
A historical model
Among the most famous motorcycle manufacturers in Europe and perhaps in the world, one cannot fail to include a true legend and authority in the two-wheel sector, the British Triumphalso author of the construction of many historic cars. However, it is certainly in the field of motorcycles that the English company has given its best to the point that to date, it is one of the very few European companies to have a fully electric motorcycle in store ready to go out onto the world market.
Future aside, the past of the British brand is also full of incredible successes. Among the most loved and long-lived motorcycles of the house we cannot fail to mention the Triumph Bonneville which for many years has made the happiness of riders of all kinds and nationalities both on and off the track. When the Bonneville arrived on the market in the early sixties, whose name is inspired by the famous circuit where the main speed recordsit was fitted with a four-cylinder and had an unmistakable design…
Unbelievable style
As often happens in the automotive world, an iconic model like the Bonneville could not fail to become the subject of the advertising campaign of another famous brand from another sector: in this case, we talk about Paul SmithBritish clothing house founded in 1970 and very popular in this period, especially after the arrival of the new winter collection.
PS has chosen the Bonneville T100 as the exceptional “testimonial” of its brand: it all happened in 2005, the year in which the brand took 50 specimens of the British motorcycle by affixing them the typical livery multicolor striped that characterizes its t-shirts, sweatshirts and sweaters. The result is visually very interesting but apparently, this special model hasn’t exactly been snapped up.
In the box
A specimen of the Paul Smith’s Triumph Bonneville T100 it is currently on sale after being found still closed in the packaging in which it was originally packed: it still bears the brand insignia, think about it. The two-wheeler is not mechanically and engine-wise very different from its unsigned counterpart: in fact, it mounts an 864cc engine capable of delivering 64 horsepower.
The bike has obviously covered the beauty of 0 kilometres, being still packed just as it came off the production lines: for some reason, the specimen did not find an owner despite its rarity remaining in its uncomfortable wooden prison in the United States where it is now being auctioned. The estimated price for the moped is around 13,000 Euros, not exactly a low figure for a motorcycle.
This two-person approved vehicle is on sale in Indiana at the moment, which it would make very difficult participation in the auction for a potential Italian buyer. Too bad, also because a Bonneville Paul Smith isn’t exactly the easiest bike to find on the used market. With those bright colors then…
