Stephanie: Sarah, thank you so much for joining us today.
Sarah: thanks for having me, Stephanie! It’s always great to talk about “TerraTech.”

Sarah: Precisely! We really wanted to share this world with as many players as possible.
Stephanie: What about “TerraTech” do you think resonates most with players?
Sarah: I think it’s the blend of creativity and destruction. In “TerraTech,” you’re not just playing a curated experience, you are building your own adventure. You design, build, and upgrade vehicles - anything from nimble scouts to giant battle tanks – and use them to explore, race, and fight.
Stephanie: “TerraTech” is an open world sandbox game.What are some of the key unique elements players can expect when they dive in?
Sarah: One of the things we’re most proud of is the freedom “TerraTech” offers. we encourage players to experiment, to think outside the box. We give them the tools to create truly unique machines,and then we let them loose in a vast world full of possibilities.
Stephanie: That “think outside the box” aspect is fascinating. Can you give us an exmaple?
Sarah: Absolutely. You could build a tank that looks like a giant spider, or a flying machine that combines a blimp with helicopter rotors. You can even build amphibious vehicles, or long-range explorers that can travel between planets in the game’s universe! It’s all up to the player’s creativity.
stephanie: Were ther any particular design inspirations for “TerraTech?”
Sarah: We were heavily inspired by games like “Minecraft” and “Terraria,” wich really emphasized player creativity and exploration. But we also looked at classic sci-fi mech games like “Battletech” and “Chromehounds,” and wanted to bring that sense of intense combat to our open world.
Stephanie: the game also coincided with the Epic Games Store’s ongoing holiday sale. In your opinion, what makes free game giveaways so compelling?
Sarah: I think free giveaway offers a great opportunity for gamers.
