With interest in the comeback after three years since 2017, Eom Jung-hwa revealed the behind-the-scenes of his work through Amoeba Culture on the 22nd. -It’s been 3 years since it’s been a comeback, so how do you feel? ▶Unexpectedly at all, I met this song like a surprise gift and I am very happy to make a comeback.

-What is the reason for choosing the’Leopard Pattern’ as a new song in 3 years and the behind-the-scenes in the song?

▶At the time of the preparation for the refund expedition, there was a situation where the members prepared a song of their favorite style and played it to each other. This new song’Leopard Pattern’ was a song I was preparing at the time. Of course, in the end, I became active as’DON’T TOUCH ME’, but after that, I had a conversation with Lee Hyo-ri about the’leop pattern’ during dinner. At the time, (Lee) Hyori said,’I think this song will be so good’ and’The more I listen to, the better, so I hope I make it soon.’ I also liked this song so much that I wanted to sing it, so I first proposed to Amoeba Culture. I want to express my gratitude to Hyori who said,’Do not mind the result, do it while having fun.’

-How did the ultra-luxurious lineup consist of Gaeko, Hwasa, DPR LIVE, Lia Kim, and Chancellor?

▶From a long time ago, I’ve always wanted to work with Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko. So I thought of Gaeko as a producer who would make the best song for the Refund Expedition and asked for a song. Also, as soon as I heard the intro of the’Leopard Pattern’, only Hwasa came to mind, so I asked Hwasa to be featured through the refund expedition, and Hwasa also gave an answer that he would be willing to participate.

I have always thought that the music of DPR LIVE is’hip up’, so I asked for it because I thought that if you participate in this song, the completeness of the music will be higher. Lia Kim usually liked her choreography so much that she asked for it, and Chancellor also asked because she thought she was an artist who could enrich the song. Thankfully, both decided to participate right away. As a result, I was able to complete this new song with the artists I wanted to work with, and once again, I thank Gaeko, Hwasa, DPR LIVE, Lia Kim, Chancellor, and Padi.

-You have had a busy year with various activities, but if you could say hello to the end of 2020.

▶For me, 2020 is the year I received many gifts and support through the Refund Expedition. As much as I am so grateful and happy, I now want to give you a gift through the’Leopard Pattern’. This new song is a song about hope and reality that Eom Jung-hwa talks about. I hope that we all please ourselves, like the message of this song, and not let go of our hopes, even in our difficult current situation.
