On the evening of Saturday 31 December, starting at 21:00, the legendary band “Eolika” invites you to a sparkling New Year’s Eve party at the VEF Culture Palace. On the programme: a band concert, watching fireworks together, special surprises.
“2022 was a special year for the “Eolika” group, so we invite everyone to spend this year together and welcome the new year – the year of the rabbit (cat) in excellent company. There is no shortage of reasons: this year “Eolika” received Latvia Music Recordings’ annual “Golden Microphone” award for lifetime contribution, this year was also special for Olga Rajecka who celebrated her 60th anniversary, Viktors Zemgals also celebrated her anniversary in September, and finally – the group “Eolika » has been on stage for more than 40 years”, the musicians list the reasons for the celebration.
The most famous and beautiful songs of “Eolika” will be played at the party, which you will not only be able to listen to, but also have the opportunity to sing and dance together, have fun with the musicians. In addition, several surprises are planned throughout the evening, both musically and with a special guest. Also, for the first time, you will be able to enjoy a specially prepared program by Olga Rajeckas and her longtime stage colleague, singer Uģ Roze, during which the artists will delight the audience not only with the beautiful songs they have been crafting from several decades, but also amusing and curious stories about situations experienced during the concert both on stage and mainly behind the scenes; before and after concerts, driving to concerts and meeting the audience. “These will be unique and exciting stories about what we experienced playing music together with many outstanding Latvian musicians, not only in Latvia, but also in other parts of the world. These will be stories about our pedagogues and teachers, also colleagues. Both about life on stage and at home. They will be stories about our lives. We will also try to imitate different musicians and our teachers, being with them in different situations. We have many stories because our life is very rich; we have met many interesting people, experienced all kinds of situations, and so we have something to tell, these curiosities could also make a very good “stand up” performance” say Olga Rajecka and Uģis Roze about the upcoming evening program, adding that this is precisely why this special program was created , to be able to both sing and laugh from the heart.
Tickets for the New Year’s party can be purchased at the ticket offices of “Bilešu Paradīze” and www.bilesuparadize.lv
While you wait for the bright party, women’s television STV First! offers to enjoy the anniversary concert of Olga Rajeckas, which until recently took place in the Dzintari Concert Hall, as well as the opportunity to look behind the scenes.
