EOlife smart resuscitator arrives in hospitals and emergency services

The CE marking, obtained in September 2020, kicked off the commercialization of EOlife. Designed by Alban De Luca and Pierre-Edouard Saillard, two engineers now president and CEO of Archeon Medical, in Besançon in the Doubs, this small box embedding artificial intelligence aims to precisely calibrate the volume of oxygen to insufflate for the management of patients in cardio-respiratory arrest.

By displaying the patient’s ventilatory variables, it allows the emergency physician to adapt his intervention to avoid the hyperventilation still provided in 80% of out-of-hospital resuscitations, the effects of which can be deleterious. For the French market, Archeon Medical has signed an agreement with one of the emergency equipment branches of the TSC distributor, and the device is starting to equip hospitals and emergency services. For example, the Lariboisière Hospital in Paris where Professor Patrick Plaisance, head of the Emergency Department, hails “precious help”.
