The National Medicines Agency banned the sale and distribution of the product 7-Keto DHEA Metabolite. Keto is marketed as a dietary supplement, but it contains the active pharmaceutical ingredient Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA).
The product does not have a medicinal product license, i.e. it has not been evaluated for its safety and effectiveness by the EOF. Nevertheless, it is marketed as a dietary supplement, not notified to the EOF, although products with the substance DHEA are not allowed to be marketed as dietary supplements.
The Organization calls on the skroutz.gr company to immediately contact the recipients of the product and withdraw it from the market.
