EOD destroys explosive dust found in Den Bosch, residents are back home | NOW

The Explosives Ordnance Disposal Service Defense (EOD) has Sunday night destroyed the explosive substance found in a shed near an apartment complex. The residents of the 27 vacated homes are allowed to go home again.

The on-site investigation is now ready. The building in question has been sealed off and agents remain present to guard it during the night from Sunday to Monday.

For reasons of investigation, the police cannot report exactly which substance it was and how much of it was found.

On Sunday, around 5 p.m. a report was made of possible explosive substances at a residential complex on the Schutskampstraat in Den Bosch. Several homes and a mosque were evacuated.

In order to ensure that the evacuation went smoothly, the emergency services had announced GRIP 1. This indicates extensive coordination between emergency services in the event of larger incidents. This upscaling has since been withdrawn.
