Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has told Carney Chukwuemeka he should find a new club.
The 20-year-old winger joined the Blues in 2022 for a fee of £20million from Aston Villa under Mauricio Pochettino’s regime.
However, he has struggled to get minutes and has yet to live up to expectations under new manager Maresca.
Indeed, he has only made one appearance for the team this year, in the Carabao Cup match with Barrow.

Maresca admitted that, rather than staying and fighting for his place in the Premier League, he would have preferred the young player to leave Stamford Bridge and play more games.
According to Goal, Italian coach Enzo Maresa said: “ I will say the exact same thing I have said many times: Carney is a very good player.
But with the number of players we have, we decided at the start of the season that it was probably better to leave and go somewhere, prove ourselves and play 30 or 35 games rather than stay here and to play fewer matches.
Unfortunately, this did not happen. He’s our player. He had a few minutes the other day, today he wasn’t involved. Hopefully we can give him more playing time ».
Meanwhile, Chelsea have been in good form in their last two matches, having beaten Brighton 4-2 on Saturday September 28, 2024.
Blues star player Cole Palmer scored four goals in the first half, setting a new Premier League record.
The London team’s next match is a Europa League match against Gent at Stamford Bridge on the evening of Thursday October 3, 2024.
