Enzo Fernandez Apologizes to Chelsea Teammates After Controversial Copa America Video: A Commitment to Change

Enzo Fernandes returned to the Chelsea team in the United States two weeks after he sparked controversy over a video he posted on his Instagram account during Argentina’s celebration of winning the Copa America, which included hateful content race against France.

Fernandes arrived in Atlanta on Monday and offered a personal apology to his players, assuring them of his remorse for what happened.

Since then, he has been in regular contact with his colleagues, offering public and private apologies for filming himself and members of the Argentine national team singing an offensive song to the French.

In a surprising move, Fernandes offered to donate to an anti-discrimination charity, a move Chelsea’s management appreciated.

The club also announced their intention to double this donation through their charitable foundation.
