Environmental impact report of the irrigation modernization project in the San José canal

The Official State Gazette (BOE) includes in its edition today, the Resolution of May 14, 2021, of the General Directorate of Environmental Quality and Assessment, by which the environmental impact report of the project “Modernization of irrigation in Sector I of the irrigable area of ​​the San José Canal (Zamora)” is prepared.

The purpose of the project is to modernize the irrigation infrastructures of Sector I of the irrigable area of ​​the San José Canal (Zamora), which has 1,176 ha of irrigable surface. This sector is made up of the parcels of the San José Canal Irrigable Zone between the San José Canal and the Duero River, belonging to the municipalities of Villaralbo (762 ha) and Zamora (414 ha), both in the province of Zamora.
