Environment, the proposals of the Clima Lavoro Alliance and the CGIL for employment, energy and sustainable mobility on the occasion of the G7

In conjunction and a symbolic alternative with the ministerial meeting of the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment, thealliance and the union promote a discussion entitled “The G7 listens to work and the environment”. The appointment is for Tuesday 30 April, at 9.30, at the International Training Center of the International Labor Organisation, in Viale Maestri del Lavoro 10. It will be possible to follow the initiative in live streaming on Collettiva.it. «It is an event aimed at making the voices and proposals heard on employment, the fight against climate change, decarbonisation and sustainable mobility coming from environmentalist and trade union organisations, based on the unitary experience carried out by the Alleanza Clima Lavoro », says Giulio Marcon, spokesperson for the Sbilanciamoci! campaignamong the promoting acronyms of the Alliance.

The logic of the “Mattei Plan” to be changed. «The G7 is called to urgently respond to these challenges», adds Marcon, «but the Italian Presidency prefers to launch the Mattei Plan in Venaria, centered on a logic that aims at the exploitation of resources and the criminalization of migration, instead of addressing the climate crisis and seize the great economic, social and employment opportunities that a timely and well-governed ecological transition can offer.”
