The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN) promotes a series of actions to protect and conserve the habitat used by dolphins, sperm whales and whales, as they pass along the Salvadoran coast.
Through its X account, MARN confirms that conservation initiatives are for priority species and their ecosystems, which allows programs to be carried out to maintain the balance of their habitat.
The humpback whale, the spotted dolphin and the sperm whale are among other cetaceans that visit Salvadoran waters at this time of year and are protected with the National Cetacean Conservation Program.
According to MARN, this program aims to reduce the threats faced by these marine mammals and their ecosystems. The state institution reminds all Salvadorans that we are obliged to take care of our environment.
