In 2016, the 127 hectare area was bought by the state in Weitwörther Au, the seller was Franz Josef Auersperg-Trautson. As a result, the renaturation began, which was completed in 2021. The Salzach was expanded, 13 amphibious ponds created, 14,000 alluvial trees …
