Envigado’s mayor, Braulio Espinosa, confirmed this Thursday night that the Manuel Uribe Ángel hospital, the most important public hospital in his town, reached a hundred percent occupancy rate for ICU beds, putting on red alert the location.

The president published the information in a trill on his Twitter account, in which he also asked the community not to let his guard down, because “this pandemic continues to take lives.”

When asked by a citizen about why in the bulletin on covid-19 only three people appeared in Intensive Care Units (ICU) and now all beds are occupied, the mayor replied: “In the bulletin covid patients were reported in the ICU, the beds are also occupied by non-covid patients ”.

In the report of Wednesday, July 15, issued by the mayor’s office, Envigado registered against general occupation: 76.3% in Intensive Care, 47.8% in Special Care and 74.6% in hospitalization.
