“According to the decision of the Government of the Portuguese Republic, from December 1, 2021, new border crossing rules will come into force. Ukraine is one of the countries in which, since December 1, Portugal applies restrictions in accordance with the EU recommendations in connection with the epidemiological situation,” message.
On the continental territory of Portugal, entry is allowed by any transport (upon arrival by air, land and sea) upon presentation of the following documents:
- certificates of negative test result for COVID-19 (PCR test done within 72 hours prior to document submission, or rapid laboratory antigen test done within 48 hours prior to document submission).
- European COVID certificate (in paper or electronic version) or Ukrainian digital certificate on the full course of vaccination with Janssen vaccine (COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen) or AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) or Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech generated in the Diya application (with a QR code, in paper or electronic form, provided that more than 14 days have passed since the last dose of vaccination).
These rules do not apply to children under 12 years of age.
In addition, before arriving in Portugal, you must fill out the form on the website: https://portugalcleanandsafe.pt/en/passenger-locator-card after check-in for the flight on which travelers arrive in the country, and before boarding the plane.
The embassy added that tourists who try to enter Portugal without a certificate of test results will be fined between 300 and 800 euros. At the same time, when trying to enter the country with false documents, tourists will be fined and isolated in specially designated rooms to clarify the situation.
