“Snow is expected in Kiev: from 7:00 on January 9, the entry of trucks into the city will be prohibited. The ban on the entry of trucks is necessary to minimize traffic jams and free roads for snow removal equipment,” the newspaper writes.
At the same time, it is specified that the road workers’ special equipment will start treating roads, bridges and sidewalks with anti-icing agents by the beginning of precipitation. In particular, “Kievavtodor” has 458 units of the main and 128 units of additional equipment for this.
“The city authorities are asking drivers not to use private cars during a snowfall, if possible, and to give preference to public transport, as well as not to park cars on roadsides and in places prohibited for this. Cars that interfere with the work of special equipment can be evacuated,” noted in the Kyiv City State Administration.
