Entrepreneurs who are in dire straits due to the corona crisis can still apply for a tax deferment until 1 January 2021. This has been decided because of the tightened corona measures, State Secretary Hans Vijlbrief (Finance) reports Tuesday.
The counter was actually closed on 1 October, but will be reopened now that many companies are again affected by the tightened measures.
The State Secretary is thus responding to a call from Henk Otten’s senate party, which was supported by a majority in the Senate. Earlier this week, the minister had already announced that he would consider the request favorably.
Vijlbrief says that another uncertain time has come for entrepreneurs. “For some, they have been able to survive up to now by, for example, drawing on their reserves, but not being able to continue to live on them. “
Entrepreneurs who make use of this option are given a maximum of three years to pay off their debt to the tax authorities.
