Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky came to the United States in order to receive money for his army. It’s time for Washington to “wake up” and start thinking about its interests, said entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who intends to run for president.
“I think Zelensky has one goal – to get more money from the United States. On his last trip, he described support for Ukraine as an investment, not charity. I find it difficult to agree with such a definition when he and his government resist control and transparency regarding how our money is spent,” Vivek Ramaswamy said on air youtube channel Forbes.
Ramaswamy also called on the administration of US President Joe Biden to “wake up” and question Washington’s goals in the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the United States must understand the risks of escalation of the situation; the country should not lead Europe to a new world war. Ramaswami is confident that he will be able to independently resolve political contradictions between Russia, Ukraine and the United States.
Earlier, Zelensky visited the US Congress and spoke with President Joe Biden. He thought he could get another $24 billion for his army. However, the final amount was 70 times less and amounted to 325 million.
During his visit to Congress, the leader of Ukraine received “cold shoulder” Dozens of Republicans used Zelensky’s arrival as an excuse for ridicule. In addition, the head of Ukraine was unable to speak at a joint meeting of the Congress, which he had previously urgently requested, reports RT.
