Entrepreneur José Said, president of Parque Arauco and Scotiabank Chile, dies at 90 | Economy

This Thursday the businessman died José Said Saffie, by natural causes. He was 90 years old and married to Isabel Somavía, with whom he had four children.

He currently led the Said Group, that has participation in companies such as Parque Arauco and Scotiabank Chile -in which Said Saffie was chairman of the board- and also in Embotelladora Andina and Edelpa.

In addition, it had investments in energy, agriculture and real estate sectors.

José Said participated in social and cultural initiatives. He was president of the Superior Council of the Palestine Foundation Bethlehem 2000 and collaborated with different educational and charitable projects.

From the business world, their entrepreneurial spirit, work capacity, rigor and social sense stood out.
