The training action under the auspices of the agricultural company Jardins da Yoba, is being developed in partnership with the Federal University of Lavras, of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and in the first phase, 30 trainees are covered.
Among the topics that have been covered since last Monday (January 22nd), the highlight is phytotechnics, which consists of the study of plants to improve the reproduction of their seeds.
Creúsa de Fátima Barbosa Walter, from the Communication and Marketing Department of the aforementioned company, explained that after this training, participants must replicate the knowledge acquired to other junior staff in the agriculture sector.
“This training action is aimed at Agricultural Sciences students, improvement technicians, teachers who work in the production area and also for producers in general.
This training will allow national human capital to have control and tools to work with seeds in the field, in order to present greater productivity of our national products”, he stated.
According to the head of the Communication and Marketing Department of the company promoting the event, the objective of the training action is to work on improving the quality of rural products for greater food security, from large production centers.
“This training comes with the aim of ensuring a strategic, transversal and sustained transformation of national human capital, while promoting an increase in food security indices and surplus indices in terms of production” he said.
In addition to phytotechnics, participants in the training course are also addressing issues related to statistics applied in the field.
With this approach, said Creúsa de Fátima Walter, it is expected that all actors involved in national production can work towards reducing imports of various goods, the production of which is already possible in the country.
“It is expected with this training that trainees will be able to statistically conduct agricultural experiments in order to present high quality products to the market, to select the best seeds so that we can produce in quantity and quality, responding to the issues of imports and respond to the country’s need to produce for domestic consumption” he detailed.
