The possibility to identify their ticket, as well as their season ticket, through the Gov.gr Wallet application is also available to sports fans who are permanent residents abroad from today, allowing the application to read their passport using the NFC chip it contains .
In the context of the ongoing cooperation between the Ministers of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of Sports, Yiannis Vroutsis, to upgrade the level of security at the stadiums, permanent residents abroad with passports of a foreign country will now be able to enter the stadiums easily and simply with their electronic ticket in Gov.gr Wallet.
In particular, permanent residents abroad with a passport of a third country, in order to identify their ticket and enter the stadium with the digital ticket for the matches of the Super League 1, as well as the Greek Cup, after obtaining the ticket through a ticket distribution provider, follow the following procedure:
They open the Gov.gr Wallet application and enter without user authentication and entering taxisnet codes, as guests (guest mode) by selecting the “event tickets” field.
Next, they identify the passport through Gov.gr Wallet allowing the application to scan the passport using the NFC chip it contains. They then enter the reservation code printed on the ticket. This is how the passport details are linked to the ticket holder.
To enter the stadium, the sports fan who is a permanent resident abroad places the mobile phone device on which he has stored his now personalized ticket intact in the slot of the ticket scanning and recognition devices.
Soon, permanent residents abroad will be able to identify their ticket in the Gov.gr Wallet and through their ID if it contains an NFC chip.
In the event that they face any problem while reading their passport, they can enter the ticket code and then contact the teams’ special desks to help them identify themselves.
