The Oscar-winning actress will receive the honorary Golden Globe, named after legendary director and producer DeMille, for her outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.

The Cecil B. DeMille Award has been awarded since 1952. Davis will be the sixth black person to receive the award after Sidney Poitier, Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey and Eddie Murphy.
The star can boast of EGOT status, having won an Emmy for the cult series «Kid of Crime», a Grammy for his audiobook «Finding Me», an Oscar for «Barriers» and two Tony Awards for «King Hedley II” and for the theatrical adaptation of “Barriere”.
