White Sulfur Springs, 4500 Milligans Cove Road, Manns Choice, will host its annual Christmas Open House from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Heritage House. Tickets are on sale now for Off Pitt Street Theater Company’s upcoming Christmas show, “Hard-boiled Eggnog.” The Christmas film noir, written by Zack Peercy, will be presented on December 8, 9 and 10 with shows scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The show stars Jangle, an aspiring elf detective who gets a big break when Santa is found murdered days before Christmas. In order to solve this case, Jangle will have to face eternal beings, secret friendships, late night chocolate bars and the loss of their brother, Jingle. Entries will be accepted through February 1 for the Off Pitt Street Theater Company’s eighth annual OPS Open Playwriting Competition. Authors from central and western Pennsylvania and the Cumberland and Frostburg areas of Maryland can submit new, previously unpublished one-act plays for $10 each. Following judging, OPS will present the first and second place winners and highlight the third place winner during the Spring 2024 Winners Showcase at the Bedford and Johnstown locations.
