At the Affi factory in Anjou, 80% of the 130 employees have a mental health disorder, an intellectual disability or a physical limitation.
Among these employees is Ratiba Bentboha-Kohli, who, in just a few years, got a job as a general labor attendant and worked her way up to become a supervisor.
“I am a person with reduced mobility who stayed at home for several years because I had difficulty finding a job,” she says. I climbed the steps quickly because along the way, I worked with people who believed in me.”
Affi has been an adapted company for around fifty years, in particular because the managers have always been keen to be inclusive.
“If we were not there as a company for them, they would not have the chance to develop,” indicates the CEO of the Affi Group, Patrick Biron. We often serve as a springboard for them.”
In total, there are 36 adapted companies in Quebec where more than 4,000 people with limitations work.
