Deprived of liberty until the I. Court of Appeals of Chillán resolves her situation, María Victoria Palma Palma (31), who was formalized for robbery in an inhabited place, after entering a house in Coihueco. A 16-year-old adolescent, formalized for the same crime, was prohibited from approaching the victim and subjected to a social reintegration program.
The prosecutor (s) Claudia Espinoza Beltrán, reported both defendants, in the company of two other unidentified people, climbed a fence to enter the property through a bedroom window. Once inside, they stole various species such as jewelry and electronic items.
They fled in a car that a witness was able to identify, for which the Carabineros found the whereabouts of the two defendants, in whose home the species were found. The teenager was arrested when he was fleeing from his house with part of the stolen items.
Prosecutor (s) Claudia Espinoza requested preventive detention for the woman, who was not accepted by the Chillán Guarantee Court, due to which she verbally appealed at the hearing. Now, it must be the Court of Appeals that decides if it accepts the precautionary measure requested by the Prosecutor’s Office, for which the accused remains deprived of liberty until the appeal court decides.
The Chillán Guarantee Court gave two months for the Prosecutor’s investigation.
