The Dutch recorder player Erik Bosgraaf and the Cordevento ensemble will present for the first time to the Sofia audience reconstructions for recorder and strings of the famous Bach instrumental concertos. After the successful CD of the ensemble with these works, released in 2011, numerous concerts at important festivals in Europe followed, as well as the inspiration for a new venture – Vivaldi’s Seasons performed on the recorder!
The new reading of the works, adapted to the peculiarities of the recorder, but with uncompromising fidelity to the author’s idea, Cordevento will present the magic of this musical phenomenon from the Baroque. Pictures will come to life, described in words and confirmed with boundless musical invention and breathtaking harmonies by Vivaldi himself back in 1725.
