Enschede Stabbing Incident: Two Underage Suspects Arrested in Connection with Fatal Attack

The police have arrested a seventeen-year-old and a sixteen-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing incident in Enschede on December 22. An underage boy was killed. Two other suspects were previously arrested.

Both boys are suspected of involvement in the stabbing.

The incident took place on Van Lochemstraat. A group of five people attacked two minor Syrian refugees. One of them died on the spot, the other victim was taken to hospital.

On December 24, the police arrested a nineteen-year-old man and a twenty-year-old woman. They have been remanded in custody. All suspects are from Enschede.

The police suspect that the stabbing is the result of a conflict. Many people on the street experienced something of the stabbing. The police hear witnesses and conduct forensic investigations.
