My name is Enrico and I’m a Health Technician of Medical Radiology stationed in Lombardy, but originally from Sicily.
I would like to let off steam with you because you are the only ones who really give space to us exponents of the Health Professions.
Since the establishment of the Federation Term Pstrp I hoped things would really change for our profession. We were told that with Law 3/2018 they became Intellectual Professionals, independent figures from Doctors and Nurses. Nothing could be more false, we have been, are and will be slaves of the radiologists, who continue to treat us like little slaves, pure technicians to be used when needed and against any rule of inter-professional respect.
No one has any respect for us, we have to follow orders and unfortunately there are colleagues who are treated like foot cloths and do not react because they are linked to old medical-centric logic.
And that’s not all. We are only one of the 19 health professions adhering to the Federation, within our Order chaos reigns everywhere. Disorganization and lack of respect even within the ordinistic structure weaken you even more and make us appear in the eyes of patients, doctors and nurses as unreliable and quarrelsome figures.
Hopefully only in the new generation. I strongly believe in the change that will certainly come from the new generations of colleagues. I just hope I’m not wrong.
