The fears
After so many years, the presenter wanted to share her painful memories, in the hope they would be of help to many other women who live by keeping secrets that seem too heavy to be revealed. “I had a lot of negative experiences from 8 to 19 years old and since I started working I would have many other episodes to tell. I wasn’t traumatized by my bad experiences. I am the daughter of a culture that at the time took certain things for granted […] it is not enough to give a kick to defend yourself, especially if you are 8 years old and the abuser is an adult ». Heavy words, greeted by a dense silence. “I regret having said it because now the newspapers will embroider on it,” added Bonaccorti, immediately heartened by Eleonora Daniele, who pointed out to her that reporting similar facts is essential to stop them. “I was harassed by people very close to my family, people whose names could never be given,” concluded the presenter.
