Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former governor of California, famous for the lead actor in the movie “Terminator,” criticized President Donald Trump on the 10th (local time) as compared to the Nazis on the U.S. Capitol riot.
On this day, Schwarzenegger posted a video message on his Twitter, saying, “I grew up in Austria and know well about’Crystalnacht (Night of Crystals)’.” It was a’day of correction’.’
Proud Boys, a white supremacist who supports President Trump, criticized his massive participation in the riots by analogy to the atrocities committed by the Nazis. The Day of the Amendment was a massive looting and arson incident by the Nazis against Jews in 1938.
“The mob shattered the convictions we took for granted along with the windows of the Capitol,” said Schwarzenegger.
It was also clear that President Trump was responsible for the riot. “President Trump is trying to overturn the fair election results. He misleads people to pursue a coup,” he criticized head-on. “Trump will be in history as a’failed leader’ and the worst president ever.”
Schwarzenegger, former Republican governor of California, has had an uncomfortable relationship with President Trump. Following Trump in 2017, he was in charge of hosting the TV reality show’Apprentice’, but got off early due to poor viewership. At the time, Trump posted a tweet mocking Schwarzenegger, and Schwarzenegger replied, “Dedicate yourself to the position of president,” and the two became a poor relationship. Since then, Schwarzenegger has criticized Trump’s policies, including racism and anti-immigration policies.
