– A policeman in his fifties, who was enraged and wields a weapon, was sentenced to probation from prison when he saw his lover lying down with another man on the premise of marriage.
The 11th Criminal Division of the Daegu District Law (Director Sang-yoon Kim) announced on the 17th that he sentenced Mr. A (57), who was accused of attempting murder and other charges, to three years in prison and four years probation.
A, who was a police officer, was handed over to trial on December 19, 2019, on charges of stabbing C, 47, in the chest of C, 47, at the house of B, 51, a woman in Chilgok County, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Mr. A is also suspected of hitting Mr. B’s face and head several times in the process, causing bruises.
After a dinner party, Mr. A visited Mr. B’s house, and when he saw that Mr. B and Mr. C were lying asleep together in the master bed, they became angry and committed the same crime.
Mr. A was arrested by the police while sleeping in front of a church in Daegu after driving drunk immediately after the crime. He was also accused of refusing to measure alcohol consumption three times during the process. The Daegu Police Agency lifted Mr. A’s position right after the incident.
The judge said, “The crime is not very good in light of the course, method, and content of each crime, and Mr. C was in danger of losing his life due to a large amount of bleeding.” One point, the point of not wanting punishment for the defendant by agreeing smoothly with the victims, etc.,” he revealed the reason for the sentence.
