It has It has long been known that Enova support for various types of heat pumps will be removed, and now the final date is approaching.
Originally, the support was to be phased out on 1 April last year, but Enova has twice chosen to postpone it.
– Challenges created by the covid-19 pandemic have led to less activity in the energy upgrade market than expected when we entered 2020. In addition, there have been persistently low electricity prices. That is why we are now postponing the planned changes once again. This gives homeowners who are considering the affected measures an extra motivation. Motivation to implement the measures during the next six months, stated marketing manager Anna Barnwell in Enova, in a press release last year

Increased competition and reduced prices
On 1 July, however, it will be completely over and then the subsidy scheme for air-to-water heat pumps will be phased out, while support for balanced ventilation, solar cells and solar collectors will be reduced.
The reason why Enova is removing support for the installation of air-to-water heat pumps is that there has been positive growth in recent years.
– We now expect to see results of market growth in the form of increased competition and reduced prices that benefit consumers. Therefore, we believe that the time has come to phase out the support for these two heat pump types, Enova explained in the autumn of 2019 when they first announced that the support for this type of heat pump would be phased out.
At the same time, they believed that the measures balanced ventilation, solar cells and solar collectors still need support and chose to reduce the rates instead of phasing out the schemes.

Discontinues scheme and cuts rates
In order to receive the current support of NOK 5,000 for air-to-water heat pump, the measure must be implemented and registered with an invoice in Enova’s application portal no later than 30 June, Enova states on its website.
The same applies to the other measures, which you will still receive support for, but the sum is lower from 1 July.
This means the changes from 1 July:
- Support for air-to-water heat pump and exhaust pump is discontinued.
- Maximum support for balanced ventilation is reduced by 5,000 to 10,000 kroner.
- The support for solar cells is reduced by 2,500 to 7,500 kroner.
- The support for solar collectors is reduced by 5,000 to 10,000 kroner.

At the same time, Enova warns that they will continue with an extended deadline for the implementation of the measures. Previously, the measure had to be completed, and all invoice documentation must be dated during the last 18 months before the application date, but from March last year, this was extended to 20 months.
