Biebertal l (ws). The choir formation “Sing & Swing” of the singing club Eintracht 1863 brought a colorful bouquet of songs to the small hall of the Rodheim community center for the “Café Speciale”. Chairwoman Miriam Taddey welcomed around 80 visitors. The song “Get up and sing” presented at the beginning was also an advertisement for choral singing.

“Sing & Swing” is also happy to welcome new singers to strengthen the youthful choir.

The audience was delighted by the successful combination of songs and café atmosphere. The formation “Sing & Swing” once again knew how to delight the hearts of the audience with atmospheric songs and modern songs under their choir leader Rainer Geitl, who also accompanied on the keyboard. The performance, which was at times spirited and powerfully rhythmic, was characterized by committed sound performance. The legendary Elvis Presley song “Can’t help falling in Love” and the “Sommarspsalm” performed in Swedish also pleased the audience and received much applause. The modern women’s choir formation then shone with “California dreaming” (The Mamas & The Papas).

The afternoon was characterised by a coffee house atmosphere with home-made cakes and coffee, with good communication and networking. Afterwards, the choir presented “Bridge over troubled water”, a soft rock ballad by the American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. The piece was written by Paul Simon and sung largely solo by Art Garfunkel.

From the film “Top Gun” “Take my Breath Away” was sung at the top of their lungs. The singers’ passionate performance also included “You will be found”, “Cover me in Sunshine” and “Flashdance”. “Sing & Swing” couldn’t avoid an encore. A successful “Café Speciale” that will resonate in the hearts of the audience.
