Enjoy the Au Bonheur des Arts Event: Children’s Book Activities & Shows

Before the Christmas holidays, the media libraries are offering the “Au Bonheur des Arts” event until December 16. An annual event around children’s books aimed at children under 11 and their families.

The general theme changes every year. This time, the arts are at the heart of the system: from literature to comics, they are all visited.

For this spotlight, the media libraries have concocted the program in conjunction with the CRC Erik-Satie, Mon Ciné and the Neighborhood Houses, not to mention the Saint-Martin-d’Hères en Scène shows, dedicated to children, who will also be in tune. Enough to offer numerous proposals for all ages, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, in the different structures of the city.

Reading concert, comics and cinema

So each media library offers, in turn, two activities: Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m., a comic book workshop to create a character and their comic strip for 8-11 year olds; and on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. a time for reading short stories and nursery rhymes for children under 5 years old.

The Espace Romain-Rolland also offers, for all audiences, play time around the arts, on tablets, on Wednesday November 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. That of Paul-Langevin is organizing a reading concert with the students of the CRC Satie, on Friday November 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:10 p.m.

In addition, the Louis-Aragon and Romain-Rolland neighborhood centers schedule outings for the general public at Espace Vallès, upon registration. For 8-11 year olds, in Louis-Aragon, there is also a comic book workshop on Wednesday December 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. upon registration.

Mon Ciné is involved in the process with school sessions around the film Linda wants chicken which will be followed by workshops. Saint-Martin-d’Hères en Scène is organizing shows on November 29 in Aragon, and December 2 and 9 at the René Proby cultural space.

Highlights, open to all, will crown the event (read below).

Before the closing, two musical shows are scheduled at the René-Proby Cultural Space, on Thursday December 14 and Friday December 15, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. They will be hosted by piano, theater and contemporary dance classes, voice and musical training at the Erik-Satie Conservatory. On Saturday, December 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Paul Langevin media library offers the opportunity to taste art on a digital tablet with the help of the Folije association. Children will be able to benefit from the talent of makeup artist Chantal Baffert to become an object of art. And for those who have taken the precaution of registering on 04 76 42 76 88, there will be Tony Mazzocchin’s postal art workshop, for children aged 7 and over.
