this summer come back Cinema in the Square to the center of Raleigh with a series of films which will be screened outdoors Moore Square.
Programming includes select Thursdays in July and August that will bring families together around community spaces surrounded by culture, entertainment and fun.
Enjoying the cinema is totally free and open to the public, but there are also affordable food and drinks. Especially beer and wine will be available at Square Burger.
Cinema in the Square is a co-production of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and Raleigh Parks and is part of an effort to increase the offering of weeknight activities in the downtown community.
What is the outdoor movie schedule in Raleigh?
The four outdoor film screenings under the stars of the summer sky will be:
- July 14 – The Lion King – G (1994)
- July 28 – Black Panther – PG-13
- August 11 – Ghostbuster: Afterlife – PG-13
- Aug. 25 – Shrek – PG
In addition to the movies scheduled for around 8:30pm, there will be themed entertainment prior to the show, starting at 7:00pm. These include:
- The Lion King, July 14: live African drumming performances, lion mask crafts, and African music.
- Black Panther, 28 de julio: trivia contest and Marvel costumes for all ages with prizes and face painting.
- Ghostbusters: Afterlife, August 11: Raleigh Ghost story presentation and make your own slime.
- Shrek, 25 months ago: heroes and dragons scavenger hunt and homemade dragon eggs.
Moore Square is located at 200 S Blount St, Raleigh, NC 27601. Since its creation in the year it is an ideal green space for meeting, reflection, entertainment and recreation for the citizens of Raleigh.
