One of the best ways to celebrate summer in New York is to watch a movie outdoors, at sunset, while having a picnic on the grass. This is exactly what the Film on the Green festival offers, which returns from June 2 to September 8 with 12 films in French on the theme of dance. There will of course be the classics, such as “Les Demoiselles de Rochefort” by Jacques Demi with Catherine Deneuve and Françoise Dorléac, which will open the ball on Friday June 2 at Central Parc, or even “French Cancan” by Jean Renoir with Jean Gabin on June 14. July (Bastille Day!). But this 2023 edition also offers a record number of new releases and international co-productions.
