Enjoy music and the park jewel | Taunus-Nachrichten

bad Homburg (bas). The Little Pine Forest is the jewel of the Landgrave’s garden landscape in Bad Homburg. The park is filled with life every year during the “Bad Homburg Summer”. “We have been offering two concerts a year in the Little Pine Forest for 13 years now,” said the deputy chairman of the support association, Felix Hufeld. The association now has almost 180 members.

After the duo “Opus No. 2” with opera singer Bianca Schatte and tenor saxophonist Horst Grüneis had presented evergreens from pop, rock, swing and musicals a week earlier, on July 16, the Bad Homburg Chamber Orchestra was now able to make use of the unique acoustics of the park monument. The chamber orchestra also played under the colonnades. For years, the musicians of the amateur orchestra have met every Tuesday evening in Gonzenheim to practice. At the beginning, the orchestra was exclusively a string orchestra. However, some woodwind players are now also part of the permanent orchestra. Thanks to the great, natural acoustics of the Kleiner Tannenwald, the visitors were able to spread out around the lake without having to make any acoustic compromises. The magic of the music quickly made those present forget the rain, which caused the concert to start late at 7:10 p.m. In addition to the visitors, the numerous ducks also filled the park jewel with life on this summer evening. Whether baroque or classical, the chamber orchestra always managed to impress the audience. Meanwhile, the Kleiner Tannenwald support association recruited new members and handed out free wine gums. After this well-rounded, harmonious concert, the Bad Homburg Chamber Orchestra thanked all the listeners for the beautiful musical adventure in the Kleiner Tannenwald. Afterwards, numerous spectators ended their evening together with others in the park.
