Enhancing Smart Payment Solutions for Charitable Organizations in Dubai

The Department of Finance of the Government of Dubai concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, the Dubai Digital Authority, and Mashreq Bank, to enhance smart payment solutions. The signed memorandum of understanding aims to link the payment channels of charitable organizations listed with the Department of Islamic Affairs, under a unified and comprehensive digital system, which provides a central dashboard for all charitable organizations authorized by Dubai Islamic, in coordination between all parties signing the agreement.

The connection under the unified digital system includes smart payment gateways, points of sale, smart piggy banks for collecting donations at charities, smart kiosks, and other smart payment methods.

The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of the Central Accounts Sector in the Department of Finance, Jamal Hamid Al Marri, and the Executive Director of the Charitable Sector in the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi. It was also signed on behalf of Digital Dubai by the Executive Director of the Smart Dubai Government Foundation, Mattar Al Himairi, and on behalf of Mashreq Bank.
