Enhancing Cooperation in Arabian Horse Registration and Beauty Championships: Visit of Omani Delegation to Emirates Arabian Horse Association

ABU DHABI, September 29 / WAM / Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, received a delegation from the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation.
The Omani delegation included Mrs. Dhabiya bint Sami bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, Chairwoman of the Arabian Horses and International Organizations Committee, His Highness Sayyid Saud bin Harib bin Thuwaini Al Said, Vice Chairman of the Committee, and Mr. Ahmed bin Abdul Wahed Al Harrasi.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad conveyed to the Omani delegation the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association.
The visit comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation in the fields of registering and documenting Arabian horses, and organizing Arabian horse beauty championships and official courses.
During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the pioneering experience of the UAE in the field of caring for Arabian horses, providing the best services with the highest quality standards to owners, breeders and exhibitors, and organizing various events and competitions locally and internationally, under the directives and support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Vice President Cabinet, Head of the Presidential Office, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association.
The meeting reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and exchange of experiences in the areas of registration and documentation of Arabian horses, the electronic genealogy registry program, the system of registration and documentation of Arabian horses, the work mechanism and the birth registration programme.
Joint cooperation in the field of participation in international tournaments between the two countries was also discussed, in a way that did not conflict with the scheduled dates, and prior coordination in the movement of horses between the two countries with the aim of facilitating matters of mutual participation in international events.
Joint cooperation in educational courses, national referees courses, disciplinary committee sessions, and exhibitors were also discussed.
