Enhancing Child Health Service in Yemen through Training Packages

Various training packages for child health service in Yemen

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) announced the provision of various training packages for health care workers, medical students and resident doctors in 8 major teaching hospitals in Yemen, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, as part of the project to promote basic nutritional interventions to serve child health.

Healthcare professionals, medical students and physicians provided a comprehensive range of services for children and their parents, from screening and medical support to nutritional assistance, counseling and nutritional guidance sessions, during the courses.

The training packages aimed at building the capabilities of health care workers and medical students in therapeutic feeding centers, pediatric wards and intensive care units, to be able to provide high-quality health care to patients in health centers, in addition to strengthening their medical capabilities and equipping them to effectively manage these cases.

This comes as part of a series of relief and humanitarian projects that the Kingdom is implementing through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, in partnership with the World Health Organization, to provide appropriate rehabilitation for health personnel and improve medical services provided to Yemeni citizens.
