From July 29 to August 12, enhanced security measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 will be introduced in Gulbene municipality.
As Normunds Audzišs (ZZS), the chairman of Gulbene County Council, told TV3 in an interview, the restrictions will be similar to the state of emergency previously announced throughout the country.
“First of all, it will apply to municipal institutions. Institutions will continue to work and perform their functions, but it will be more remote or digital. It will be possible to call the heads or specialists of the institution and arrange special meetings, but such open activities will not take place. We have more than 50 institutions in the region, this spread of the infection could have been one of the channels, ”Audzišs pointed out.
According to SPKC data, by July 27, eight cases of Covid-19 were registered in Gulbene municipality. According to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau, this year there were actually 19,771 inhabitants in Gulbene municipality.
In Gulbene region, the incidence of Covid-19 was first detected on July 22.
