A driver (60) was killed in an accident on Saturday afternoon.

The 60-year-old drove a Citroen down Ammonstrasse and turned at the Rosenstrasse intersection. He was hit by a tram traveling from the direction of the main station on his own track bed. As a result of the accident, the Citroen was pushed several meters into the road bed and crashed into a catenary pole, with the driver of the car trapped in the car. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.

His passenger, who was 64, was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to hospital for further treatment. The driver (42) of the tram suffered a shock. The passengers remained uninjured. Accidental damage is around 20,000 euros. Due to the rescue and recovery measures, access to Rosenstrasse remained completely closed from 4:00 pm to 7:45 pm.

The road accident service has taken over the investigation into the cause of the accident.

The 22-year-old was driving on Weißeritzstrasse and collided with an unknown cyclist coming from Friedrichstrasse. The two women spoke to each other briefly, and then the stranger went on.

A robber stole 1,600 euros
