England’s European Championship ticket is ready.

It was secured via an impressive 3–1 win against Italy.

Credit Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane for that.

The duo were dominant during Tuesday night’s big meeting at Wembley and were involved in all three goals.

Bellingham set up the penalty for England’s first goal which Kane thumped in from the penalty spot.

Then the 20-year-old sensation played Marcus Rashford to make it 2–1.

And with a quarter of an hour left, Kane made it 3-1.

– All the players in the team are fantastic to work with. They are so hungry, so receptive to instructions and so willing to fight for each other. It showed tonight. This was an outstanding effort, says national team captain Gareth Southgate to Channel 4.

The EC ticket ready

The victory means that the “Three Lions” ticket to the EC is already secured – even though two matches (against Malta and North Macedonia) remain.

– People take it for granted that you have to get to the big championships, but the job has to be done and it’s not as easy as it looks. But now we have succeeded, says Harry Kane.

The last time it went to the EC, England went all the way to the final, where they eventually lost to Italy on penalties.

But now Gareth Southgate’s gang is highlighted as even a little sharper. Especially since 20-year-old Bellingham has blossomed into one of the world’s absolute best players.

He received a standing ovation from the fans when he was substituted in the 85th minute.

Italy looking bad

Italy, on the other hand, still has work to do.

In fact, there is even a risk of missing out on direct qualification for the European Championship, as Ukraine is currently second in the group.

They face North Macedonia next and then Ukraine in the final round.

Should you miss out on a direct place at the European Championship, you have the chance to get there via the Nations League playoff.
