However, protests from Everton fans have reached a new limit. In the last hours, the existence of a banner has been published on the outskirts of Benítez’s family home where he lives with his wife and daughters. “We know where you live, do not sign,” said the text. Messages have also been posted around Goodison Park in recent days showing their discontent over the possible arrival of the former Liverpool manager: “Money over morality. Benítez is not welcome” or “Listen to the fans, not Rafa.”
Rafa Benítez wants to return to the Premier League after his time in Chinese football … but this time he would do it to the eternal rival of Liverpool, a club with which Benítez won a Champions League (2005) and where he spent more than five years.
