London –
Several countries have already launched related protests to Qatar human rights violations on the mat World Cup 2022. England national team will follow?
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is in the spotlight. The reason is that there are related reports human rights violations in preparation.
According to the Guardian investigation, many immigrant workers have died in preparation for the 2022 World Cup. Since 2011, around 6,500 workers have died. 5,927 of these were immigrants from India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka during 2011-20, plus 824 fatalities from Pakistan between 2010-20.
The situation has led several countries to focus on it. Norwegian national team, German national team, and Dutch national team already voiced a protest for the case to be resolved.
How about England national team? Captain Harry Kane explained, his team will discuss it first, whether to participate in the protest or not.
“You saw some teams did it a few days ago, so I thought it would be good to discuss it with the players,” Kane said, as reported by the Daily Mail.
“And from there I’m sure there will be a result. But I don’t see anyone against it.”
“As we have done on our knees [protes rasisme]”I think it’s important to have everyone’s point of view, everyone in the room discussing how they feel and what they want to do, and then we can make decisions as a team,” said the Tottenham Horspur striker.
The urge to boycott the trophy title World 2022 in Qatar began to get a lot of voice. In Germany, a survey showed 68 percent agreed that the football party was boycotted, while the Norwegian national team also received a similar proposal.
