LONDON (dpa-AFX) – The English authorities are looking for a patient who is said to have tested positive for a highly contagious Corona variant from Brazil. The person wanted did not give their contact details during their corona test and has therefore not yet been found, said the Public Health England authority on Sunday. The search continued on Monday.
A total of six cases of variant P.1 discovered in northern Brazil, which is said to be more contagious and more resistant to vaccines than the original form, had emerged in Great Britain, but the others could be traced. The authorities called on all citizens who had taken a test on February 12 or 13 and had not received a result or had not completed the registration to report. In addition, the passengers on a flight from Brazil on February 10th should be contacted. “We have to find the person as soon as possible,” said Vaccination State Secretary Nadhim Zahawi in an interview with the BBC.
